THE TEAM

  • Bike Rider

    Sam Calvert

Sam Calvert is from Birmingham, Alabama, but currently attends and is racing in the SECCC with the University of Montevallo. Sam is looking to learn new ways to be a better competitor and move up in the ranks at the UCI level throughout 2024.

“I am beyond thankful for the amazing support of Pace Coaching Company and look forward to being a part of the Racing Division! Let’s go 2024!”

  • Bike Rider

    Colin Parker

Colin has been racing mountain bikes for 4 years with the Alabama Cycling Association (ACA). He’s specialized in XC racing but also enjoys road riding. Not only is he determined on the bike, but off the bike, he’s fixed on becoming a cardiologist studying the human body just as much as he rides the bike. He also takes an interest in exotic cars and gnarly roller coasters!

“I can’t wait to see where this year of PACE takes me!”

  • Bike Rider

    Jacob Paulson

Jacob is a full-time mechanic and full-time competitor with interests in the extremes and a passion for bikes. Having competed in various disciplines from individual ultra-endurance challenges, marching in multiple of The Santa Clara Vanguard’s performing ensembles, racing motorcycles and bicycles, and thousands of hours volunteering at concerts as a first responder. When he is not out riding his bike, he can be found wrenching at his local bike shop or kicking back enjoying one of his many hobbies.

“I’m beyond excited to tackle the challenges both physically and mentally with this truly dedicated team!”

  • DB Rains

DB is a senior in high school in Tuscaloosa Alabama, and has been racing mountain bikes since 6th grade. DB has had many accomplishments in his high-school career, one of his biggest is winning state champ as a freshman and immediately getting put into varsity. In his high school career, he also played many other sports including baseball, basketball, and cross-country running. DB wants to pursue an education based on finance or engineering.

“The Racing Division is the right fit for me with the right teammates and coaches to push and motivate me to become a better self.”

  • Perry Stringfellow

Perry is a 15-year-old aspiring cyclist. Growing up, he was not involved much in sports, until he found cycling. He spent a few years riding every once in a while, learning the ropes, until the summer of 2022 when he fully committed to cycling and spent countless hours on the bike. The work paid off his next season of ACA in 2022-2023. He learned his true potential and found PACE. Working with PACE has been able to transform him into a proper cyclist with good results across the board. In 2024 he plans to continue the grind and build strength, character, discipline, and experience.

“I’m super excited for this team to be able to push each other’s limits in racing and training.”
